President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced the launch of a joint initiative with Ukraine and Poland to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia

Von der Leyen wrote about this on Twitter.
"The deportation of children is a war crime. In partnership with Ukrainians and Prime Minister (of Poland - ed.) Morawiecki, we have launched an initiative aimed at repatriating Ukrainian children abducted by Russia," von der Leyen wrote.
On March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian official Maria Alekseevna Lvova-Belova in the case of deportation of children from the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia.
The Security Service of Ukraine reports investigating more than 16,000 cases of deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia.
