Zelenskyy congratulates Babiš on Czech election victory, schedules meeting

Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.

"Today I spoke with the leader of the party that won the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, congratulated him on the victory, and wished him success. Mr. Andrej noted the bravery of the Ukrainian people in our fight against Russian aggression," Zelenskyy wrote.

He mentioned that he informed Babiš about Ukraine's diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace in cooperation with the U.S., Europe, and other countries, as well as the general diplomatic situation.

"We agreed to discuss our future cooperation during a personal meeting in the near future," the president concluded.

• On October 5, it was announced that Andrej Babiš's party had won the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic and will form the government.
