'We're asking leaders for help': Zelenskyy appeals to partners after Russian strikes on Ukrainian gas storage
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on partners to more actively use Ukrainian gas storage facilities
He said this during the Ukraine-South-East Europe summit on June 11 in Odesa, reports LB.ua.
The President noted that this is especially important in view of the Russian Federation's attacks on Ukraine's gas infrastructure.
"Regarding gas issues, we discussed this issue with colleagues. Due to the fact that strikes were carried out on storage facilities, on our gas infrastructure, and on production, we are helping the private sector to recover both financially and with loans, and we are asking the leaders for help regarding the additional volume of gas injection into our gas storage facilities. We are working on this with various countries," Zelenskyy said.
In March, the head of Naftogaz, Roman Chumak, said that as a result of 17 combined attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian gas infrastructure facilities, production facilities for gas production were seriously damaged.
