EU unable to fully supply Ukraine with air defense systems, Patriot missiles — Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that the EU cannot fully replace the U.S. support, particularly regarding the supply of Patriot PAC-3 missiles and air defense systems
He said this at a briefing in Denmark.
According to him, the EU cannot provide Ukraine with missiles for the Patriot PAC-3 complexes or, in general, for air defense systems.
“We are counting on the continuation of American support, because there are certain items that, unfortunately, Europe cannot provide. Especially when we talk about the Patriot PAC-3, about missiles for the Patriot system—this is critically important—and when we talk about air defense systems,” the president said.
At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is also counting on its own production, but it requires more funding.
On July 2, the United States suspended the supply of some anti-aircraft missiles and precision munitions to Ukraine due to concerns about its own military stockpiles.
The next day, it was reported that the U.S. Department of Defense continues to provide President Donald Trump with recommendations regarding military aid to Ukraine.
