Trump’s former team says he’s 'enamored' with Putin — political analyst
Viktor Shlinchak, head of the board of the Institute of World Policy, says that U.S. President Trump likes the Russian dictator Putin as a leader
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
“If we believe, again, the memoirs of the previous team that worked with Trump during his first term, particularly the national security advisor, he writes that Trump is almost in love with Putin. He has some kind of feeling of this so-called ‘chemistry’ with Putin. That is, he likes him as a leader,” he said.
Therefore, in Viktor Shlinchak’s opinion, this sympathy of Donald Trump is reflected in his decisions regarding Russia.
“And this is transferred, including, this sympathy is transferred to some of his decisions. Accordingly, when we talk about the image of our president, there is little sympathy there, considering a certain number of things that have been catching up with Trump since 2020,” the political scientist believes.
