Russia's Putin approves new nuclear doctrine
Russian leader Vladimir Putin has officially approved a new nuclear doctrine, according to which the president can decide on the use of nuclear weapons

Thus, Vladimir Putin signed the relevant document on November 19, 2024.
According to the nuclear doctrine, the decision to use nuclear weapons is made by the President of the Russian Federation. At the same time, aggression against Russia by any country in the military bloc will be considered an aggression by the entire bloc.
In addition, Russia may use nuclear weapons in the event of a critical threat to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of itself and Belarus. The conditions for the use of nuclear weapons include the launch of ballistic missiles against the country.
