Putin vows no end to Ukraine war in private meeting with Russian business leaders
The Kremlin has signaled to Russian business that it's committed to continuing the war and capturing all of the Donetsk region
Ivan Tymochko, head of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, stated this on Espreso TV.
"Ukraine will definitely not agree to any unilateral arrangements, and Putin will drag out time as much as possible to continue the war for as long as he can. And even if he wants to reach some agreements, about what? His extreme rhetoric indicates that he is already prepared to fight Europe," Tymochko noted.
According to the head of the Council of Reservists, information has emerged that Putin held a closed meeting with Russian business, where he stated that they will not retreat, will not withdraw, will not stop the war, and have claims.
"That they will only discuss certain things along the line of fire, but with claims to full control over the Donetsk region. So, I think everything is clear," Tymochko emphasized.
Diplomat Volodymyr Yelchenko noted that currently there is little information about the consequences of sanctions against Russian gas and oil extraction companies, however the price of Russian oil has already dropped below $40 per barrel.
