'Competing for Trump's attention': Ukrainian lawmaker slams Lavrov's 'massive attack' claim
Putin trying to make it look like he's listening to Trump and is open to more talks, but these 'drones' are getting in the way of any peace deals
Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Ukrainian lawmaker and former head of the Ukrainian Security Service, expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"The fake that Russia launched through its Foreign Affairs Minister Lavrov about an attack on Putin's residence is nothing more than a competition for Trump's attention. 'Look, Russia is ready to talk with your special representatives, but you see - drones have flown.' This fake was invented and launched by Moscow propaganda for this purpose. But the Kremlin propagandists could not draw or invent any confirmation," noted the former head of the SBU.
Nalyvaichenko added that the U.S. Congress is convinced that this was Putin's attempt to show Trump that he is supposedly listening to Trump and is ready to listen to him, but some drones flying to his residence are preventing him from reaching peace agreements.
On December 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that on the night of December 28-29, Ukraine allegedly attacked Vladimir Putin's residence in the Novgorod region with 91 attack drones.
