Court seizes assets worth over UAH 1 billion from Oksana Marchenko  

A court has arrested the corporate rights of Oksana Marchenko, the wife of former pro-Russian MP and leader of the banned Ukrainian party, Viktor Medvedchuk, in Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant. The total value of the blocked assets is over UAH 1 billion (more than USD 26 million - ed.)

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

"The court's decision concerns 13.7% of the company's shares, which Medvedchuk's wife owns through four offshore companies. Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant is a monopoly producer of metal braziers in Ukraine and is among the largest metallurgical companies in Europe. The seizure of the assets will protect them from being sold or re-registered to fictitious persons and will allow them to be transferred to our state in the future," the Ukrainian Security Service said.

The European Union allocates another tranche of 1.5 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine

This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

This is the third tranche of the EUR 18 billion aid package that the EU has pledged for Ukraine.

"Today we are providing another €1.5 billion to Ukraine under our annual macro-financial assistance package. We will continue helping Ukraine resist Russia’s aggression, keep its institutions and infrastructure running, and conduct crucial reforms," von der Leyen wrote.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian military personnel and equipment, as well as 1 strike on an anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile and artillery units, in their turn, also struck an anti-aircraft missile system, an area where Russian troops and military equipment were concentrated, and a radar station of the invading Russian army.
