Crimea reports another explosion in Chornomorsk

On the morning of November 22, the temporarily occupied Crimea reported another hit at a military unit near Yevpatoriya.

"In the village of Chornomorske, today at 07:05, there was a hit at the pier of the Russian military unit in the Narrow Bay - the same place where landing boats and personnel were targeted last time," the Krymsky Viter Telegram channel reported, citing its own source. 

They also report that the pier is now protected by floating booms made of barrels tied with cables.  

Germany hands over Winsent-1 tank and 20 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

On November 22, Germany provided Ukraine with a new military aid package, which included 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. 

The new military assistance package from Germany includes: 20 Marder IFVs with ammunition, a Winsent-1 demining tank and 5 Warthog Ambulance tracked carriers. The list includes 2,380 155 mm rounds, 2,428 cryptophones, 2 8x8 HX81 tractors, two semi-trailers, 9 vehicles (trucks, vans, all-terrain vehicles) and two ambulances.

Ukraine elected to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the first time

On November 22, Ukraine was elected to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the first time. The country submitted its candidacy in July 2022.

"This is a historic event for Ukraine and an important step in the development and protection of Ukraine's cultural and natural heritage. We are grateful to the States Parties to the Convention for their solidarity in support of Ukraine. It is now more important than ever to unite to protect our cultural heritage," commented Rostyslav Karandieiev, Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

Ukraine's election to the World Heritage Committee opens up new opportunities for active participation in the implementation of the Convention. Ukraine will be able to make decisions on the use of the World Heritage Fund and the inclusion of sites on the World Heritage List and the List of World Heritage in Danger.

Tesla Powerwall to be installed in hospitals and schools in frontline regions

Five Ukrainian frontline regions have received 326 Tesla Powerwall batteries.  This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. 

The batteries will be installed in hospitals, schools, administrative services centers and other important facilities in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. 

"This will help doctors save lives, teachers teach lessons, and Ukrainians stay connected even during possible blackouts," the statement said. 

The Tesla Powerwall works on the principle of a power bank, which means that it must first be charged. After that, the battery will hold a charge for 12-14 hours.

Russia lost almost 500 people in the Tavria sector over the last day

Russian forces have dramatically increased the number of assaults and air strikes. They are dropping guided bombs from Su-35. At the same time, Russia's losses of both personnel and equipment have increased. This was reported by the commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.

"Enemy losses in manpower and armoured vehicles have increased. The enemy launched one missile and 29 air strikes in the Tavria sector, conducted 38 combat engagements and fired 911 times from artillery," said Commander Tarnavskyi. "Our defenders are holding steadfastly,” he added. 

The total enemy losses in the operational area of the Tavria Joint Forces Operation Centre amounted to 491 people. 7 Russian soldiers surrendered."  

According to the general, 21 units of military equipment were targeted in the Tavria sector over the last day: 3 tanks, 3 armoured personnel carriers, ATGMs, 6 UAVs, 4 vehicles and 4 units of special equipment. In particular, a self-propelled rocket launcher UR-77 Meteorit was destroyed. Ukrainian forces also managed to eliminate 3 ammunition depots. Another 11 pieces of equipment were damaged.
