Ukraine has increased agricultural exports even without a grain corridor

In August 2023, Ukraine managed to export 4.3 million tons of agricultural products, which is 16% more than in the previous month. "Such export volumes in August 2023 are an incredible result," says the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.

It should be taken into account that not all products have physically crossed the border, as a significant number of vehicles are still queuing to leave, and this trend became more noticeable in August.

"Despite all the obstacles (Russia's shelling of the Danube river infrastructure, falling water levels in the Danube, a ban on exports of a number of key Ukrainian exports to neighboring countries, etc.), as well as the lack of sea exports, Ukrainian farmers and traders continue to provide the world with the necessary food," says Ukrainian Agribusiness Club. "The most effective channel remains the Danube river ports, thanks to which 64% of exports were exported in August."

The Ukrainian Armed Forces may receive depleted uranium shells from the US

Next week, the United States will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine. According to Reuters, this package will include depleted uranium shells, which have not been supplied to Ukraine by the United States. However, such shells have already been delivered to Ukraine by the UK.

According to the publication, depleted uranium shells can be very effective against Russian tanks, and they can be fired by Abrams tanks.

Ukrainian Armed Forces’ advance near Klishchiivka

The Defense Forces are making progress in the Klishchiivka sector. Ukrainian soldiers are also advancing there and driving the occupying Russian troops out of Ukrainian land. This was reported by Ilia Yevlash, head of the press service of the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during the telethon.

According to him, heavy and dynamic combat actions are ongoing in the Bakhmut sector, during which Ukrainian defenders inflict significant losses on the enemy.

"Over the last day, the enemy made almost 600 attacks, twice attacking the positions of our defenders with the help of aircraft. A total of 12 combat engagements took place. Our defenders destroyed 260 Russian soldiers and a significant amount of enemy equipment, including: two tanks, one armored combat vehicle, three armored personnel carriers, a 240-mm Tulip mortar, one 203-mm Pion self-propelled artillery system, three Msta-B artillery systems, one BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, two Giatsints, two D-20 cannons and four D-30 cannons. They also destroyed one UAV control center, two munitions depots, one Rys radar, three Zala UAVs, one Orlan-10 and one vehicle," said Yevlash.

The first batch of "fresh" Gepard shells arrived in Ukraine

On September 5, the German Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had received German-made ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft systems.

"The construction of the production line for the manufacture of ammunition was successfully completed within an ambitious timeframe, so the first five-digit number of rounds was delivered to Ukraine," the statement says.

According to Defense Express, this event is actually quite important for our air defense, as it will partially resolve the issue of rather scarce Gepard ammunition, which is very effective, in particular, against Shahed 'kamikaze' drones.

Mercedes-Benz delivered 100 off-road trucks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces

German automaker Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks has supplied the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with more than 100 Zetros off-road trucks. This is reported on the website of Daimler Truck, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz.

According to the company's press release, the trucks with a capacity of up to 476 horsepower are needed by the Ukrainian army for military support and logistics tasks. The company also noted that Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks provides the Ukrainian Defense Ministry with a wide range of services related to these vehicles.

They clarify that even before receiving the Zetros, the drivers had completed training courses and went on assignments in the new cabover cars.

The funds for the purchase of the vehicles came as part of the German government's support, which is jointly overseen and implemented by the country's Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
