Rheinmetall plans to build a tank plant in Ukraine

Armin Papperger said this in an interview with Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

"Yanukovych's debt" of USD 3 billion: a British court rules in favor of Ukraine

On March 15, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom ruled in favor of Ukraine in the case of the "Yanukovych's debt" – a USD 3 billion bond loan.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Today, Ukraine has won another decisive victory over the aggressor, this time in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in the case of the USD 3 billion bonds. The court has ruled that Ukraine's defense against Russia's threats of aggression will have a full and open hearing. Justice will be ours,” the president wrote.

Ukraine's Ministry of Finance reported that the Russian Federation tried to persuade the British court to rule in its favor through a proxy, using a shortened procedure and thus avoiding a detailed investigation. However, the Supreme Court rejected Russia's request.

“The Supreme Court determined in its decision that the strong position of the defense should be examined in a full trial. At this stage, the Supreme Court did not consider the facts of Russia's illegal war against Ukraine, as the appeal "took place before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022," but Lord Carnwath, a judge of the Supreme Court, noted that Russia's further behavior could not be ignored,” the press service of the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

Denmark to create USD 1 billion fund to help Ukraine

The Danish government said that this year the country will create a DKK 7 billion (USD 1.01 billion) fund for military, civilian and business assistance to Ukraine.

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said this is largely a reflection of Ukraine's wishes, which in addition to military and humanitarian aid now also include reconstruction, Reuters reports

In addition, Denmark has announced another aid package for Ukraine, which will include, among other things, ammunition, anti-tank mines, and air defense missiles: their cost will be more than USD 140 million.

Nine allies of Ukraine pledge to provide more than 150 Leopard tanks

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced this at the beginning of the online meeting in the ‘Ramstein’ format.

According to him, it is now expected that Ukraine will be able to form more than nine brigades with the help of the donated tanks.

“The coalition of countries providing Leopard tanks to Ukraine continues to grow. So far, nine countries have committed to providing more than 150 Leopard tanks,” he said.
