Verkhovna Rada calls on world parliaments to recognize Russia's actions as genocide of Ukrainian people
During a meeting on February 24, the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) - called on the world's parliaments to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and its actions as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

The draft resolution No. 9034 was voted in favour of by 313 MPs, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported.
The Verkhovna Rada also called for tougher sanctions against Russia, continued military, political, economic, financial, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and the provision of weapons, including modern tanks, aircraft, and long-range missiles.
Ukraine also asks to develop mechanisms for using the frozen assets of Russian citizens abroad to compensate Ukrainians.
- During a vote on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, the European Parliament supported a resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
- On November 21, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly also recognized the Russian Federation and its regime as a terrorist state.
