US State Secretary reacts to Russian claims about "trial" of captured foreigners
The US is concerned by reports that Donetsk militants are planning a show trial of five captured foreigners.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken tweeted about it.
"We are concerned by reports of British, Swedish & Croatian nationals being charged by illegitimate authorities in eastern Ukraine. Russia and its proxies have an obligation to respect international humanitarian law, including the rights & protections afforded to prisoners of war," said Anthony Blinken.
We would like to add that the propagandist mass media reported earlier that on August 15, Donetsk militants will begin examining the "criminal case" of five captured foreigners.
