American officials signed contracts worth $522 million with two companies that will manufacture shells for the Ukrainian army
This was reported by Welt and Radio Svoboda with reference to AFP.
The order was received by Northrop Grumman Systems and Global Military Products.
This happened due to the concerns that Ukraine is rapidly running out of the available artillery shells.
The US Army announced that the first batch of ammunition should be delivered as early as next month. The contracts are financed by the Pentagon's initiative to support the security of Ukraine.
