On October 26, the newly elected Speaker of the US House of Representatives said he believed it was necessary to separate the issues of support for Ukraine and Israel.
Later, the leader of the Republicans in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, spoke in support of providing aid to Ukraine and Israel as part of a single package, despite the fact that the Speaker of the House of Representatives insisted on separate bills.
