US Foreign Affairs Committee supports creation of special tribunal for Russia
Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress House of Representatives voted for the resolution to establish a special tribunal for Russian crimes of aggression in Ukraine
The author of the document, congressman Bill Keating, wrote about this on Twitter.
"Today, we are one step closer to justice for Ukraine. My bill to formally support the creation of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression in Ukraine passed in the Foreign Affairs Committee," the message reads.
Keating noted that this special tribunal is the missing link in the investigation of Russian war crimes and a necessary step in holding Russia accountable for its actions. He also thanked the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrii Kostin for his cooperation.
