He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"As far as I know the situation in Israel, Iran is doomed, it will never be forgiven. Everyone understands who committed this terrible atrocity. And Iran's nuclear programme has not disappeared. You may recall that about a month ago, not Israel, but the Pentagon warned that Iran was two weeks away from possessing a nuclear warhead. Of course, Israel will not tolerate such a situation. And we know that Israel has long had everything ready for an operation to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities, and it can do it alone, but with difficulty. It would be easier to do it with the United States, but it can do it on its own," the political scientist said.

Andrey Piontkovsky added that until recently, the United States had been restraining Israel from taking this step, but now the situation has changed.

"One of Blinken's phrases at a press conference in Israel is very telling. He said a wonderful phrase that the US knows that Israel can handle any enemy on its own. But as long as America exists, Israel will not have to do it alone, so we will stand with you under any circumstances. I interpret this as a clear signal that the US has accepted Israel's concept that Iran's nuclear capability must be destroyed. And, of course, in this situation, in order not to get up twice, the devastating strike that will be carried out by Israel and supported by the United States. In any case, this strike will be supported not directly - by intelligence, possibly with the participation of American pilots, and I do not rule out a direct, open joint strike by the United States and Israel. The strike will not only target nuclear facilities - the criminals - but also the so-called decision-making centres, all these ayatollahs will be destroyed, starting with the supreme one," Piontkovsky said.

The analyst stressed that as a gesture of courtesy to Ukraine's ally, all Iranian factories that produce missiles that destroy cities in Ukraine will be destroyed. This verdict has already been signed against Iran, as well as Hamas, and the time of implementation will depend on specific tactical circumstances.

  • On October 12, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrives in Tel Aviv and met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

  • On October 13, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin arrived in Tel Aviv. Later, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and of the European Parliament Roberta Mecola, and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in Israel.

  • On October 14, US President Joe Biden said that the brutality of Hamas' actions in Israel is greater than that of the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
