Up to 10,000 residents are in Bakhmut, despite destruction of 60% of infrastructure
60% of Bakhmut's infrastructure has been destroyed, however, despite the shelling, lack of gas and water supply, up to 10,000 residents are still in the city
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported this.
"The whole world has already seen the photos of the Bakhmut’s houses, which have historical value, as well as the buildings of cultural institutions in a terrible state,” he said and emphasized that "this applies to all front-line settlements."
According to Kyrylenko, despite the fact that the authorities provided civilians with all the possibilities for evacuation, there are still about 10,000 residents in Bakhmut. The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration emphasized that currently it is impossible to restore the central gas and water supply in Bakhmut, but the Points of Invincibility are working in the city. In addition, people were provided with metal furnaces and generators.
