Unknown persons hack Crimean radio, launch evacuation message
On Wednesday, March 22, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, unknown persons have hacked several radio stations and launched a message about evacuation through ferry crossings
Russian occupation authorities reported the information.
Local residents reported that the radio broadcast general recommendations on what to do in case of an air raid alarm, how to go to a shelter, prepare an emergency suitcase, etc.
Sevastopol gauleiter Mikhail Razvozhayev says that this was a hacking of radio streams, as in case of a real alarm, the messages would have been "on all channels at the same time." He also noted that in the case of a real alarm, street warning systems would have worked, which "cannot be hacked, because they are analog." He accused Ukraine of the hacking.
Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor to the occupying head of Crimea, writes that the transmitters are currently being turned off and the causes of the hacking are being eliminated.
