Unknown assailants hit Russian politician in Mariupol with crowbar
In Mariupol, unidentified persons hit Russian politician and activist Nikolai Ishkov on the head with a crowbar; he suffered a concussion
Mariupol city council reported the information.
"Nikolai Ishkov experienced firsthand the attitude of Mariupol residents to the Russian occupiers. He came to the temporarily occupied Mariupol, where he was not celebrated but met with a blow to the head with a crowbar," the statement reads.
The city council noted that, according to Kursk media, Ishkov was hospitalized with a concussion, and the attackers were not detained. The reasons for the attack are also unknown.
Ishkov mentioned that this action was carried out by what he referred to as "anticipators," which alludes to the Mariupol residents who anticipate the city's return to Ukrainian control.
For reference. In 2022, Nikolai Ishkov ran for the city council of Kursk from the Just Russia party, but withdrew his candidacy. He has now become a political activist and travels to the occupied territories of Ukraine.
