UN to discuss human rights violations due to war in Ukraine
Ukraine, together with more than 30 states, is initiating an event on February 22 at the UN Headquarters in New York dedicated to gross human rights violations caused by the Russian war
This was stated at a meeting of the Security Council by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sergiy Kyslytsya, Ukrinform reports.
"One year is approaching since Russia launched a full-scale war and plunged the center of the European continent into violence, bloodshed and destruction. Therefore, the focus of our attention should be on the needs and suffering of people," he said.
In addition, it is known that Kyslytsya also invited diplomats to participate in the event and "take a strong position on the urgent need to stop Russian aggression, withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine and end the enormous human suffering" in our country and abroad.
