Ukrainians liberate 9 settlements in Luhansk region
By October 31, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 9 settlements of Luhansk region from the Russian invaders.
Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, announced this on United News telethon.
"To date, 9 settlements have been de-occupied. ... We are ready to work - all the heads of the city military administrations, all the heads of the regional administration - all are ready, all have long wanted to come and get the restoration works done," Haidai said.
Haidai added that he would consider the raising of the Ukrainian flag over liberated Luhansk to be the sign of Ukraine's victory.
"Once Luhansk is under control of Ukraine again, that will mean Ukraine’s victory.
As of now, nine settlements of the Luhansk region have been de-occupied.”
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took control of the Svatove - Kreminna highway in the Luhansk region.
