Ukrainian war refugees who returned home from EU can go there for winter
Refugees who came back to Ukraine from the EU and have temporary protection will be able to return to the EU for the winter
This is reported by Ceske Noviny with reference to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic, Vít Rakušan.
“If someone left Ukraine, lives in Ukraine, and received temporary protection in one of the EU countries, he has the right to return to the EU, if the conditions do not allow him to stay in Ukraine for the winter,” Rakušan said.
The Czech minister emphasized that about 4.3 million refugees from Ukraine arrived in the European Union with the start of Russia's full-scale war. 20% of them have already returned home.
Vít Rakušan predicts that with the beginning of winter, the number of refugees in the European Union may increase to 5 million.
