Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff’s Main Operational Directorate, briefed on the successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces over the past week at the Military Media Center.

According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces recaptured 7 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia direction, reclaiming control over 103 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian units advanced deep into Russia's defense by a range of 3 to 6.5 kilometers.

In the Melitopol direction, Ukrainian troops advanced up to 3 km south of the village of Mala Tokmachka. They gained control over 22 square kilometers and liberated the village of Lobkove. In the Berdiansk direction, Ukrainian troops recaptured 6 settlements: Levadne, Novodarivka, Neskuchne, Storozhove, Makarivka, and Bilohorivka. They regained control over 81 square kilometers.

Colonel Mykola Urshalovych, deputy director of the department of planning and use at the Main Directorate of the Ukrainian National Guard also reported partial success in the Orikhiv direction, where National Guard units are conducting offensive operations as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"Despite a significant density of minefields and intense artillery fire, we have partially succeeded, advancing to a depth of 650 to 1,500 meters in the direction of Novopokrovka village," said Urshalovych.

He added that the National Guard is holding its positions under heavy fire near Vremivka and Velyka Novosilka.

Earlier, the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces reported on the situation near the town of Vuhledar, Donetsk region.

"As part of the defense operation in the area of Vuhledar, measures to improve the tactical situation are in progress. Thus, our units and troops have advanced towards the enemy up to 1 km," the statement said.

However, the Russian enemy continues to intensively shell the town.

Hanna Maliar, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister said that over the past week and a half, Ukrainian troops have advanced more than 3 kilometers in the eastern front.

In the southern front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are also "gradually but surely advancing," Maliar said.

It is noted that the Russians are offering strong resistance there, and the Defense Forces are facing continuous mining of fields, the use of Kamikaze drones and intense shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is also redeploying reserves and "trying to prevent the advance of the Ukrainian Defence Forces with all its might."
