Ukrainian troops make progress in Bakhmut sector, fighting continues in Berdiansk, Mariupol sectors: frontline situation

Spokesman for the AFU General Staff Andrii Kovalov said this. 

“The Defense Forces continue to conduct both defensive and offensive operations, with partial success. Ukrainian soldiers have not lost a single position on the defensive, while offensive operations continue in the Berdiansk, Mariupol and Bakhmut directions,” he said.

In the Berdiansk sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Makarivka, and in the Mariupol sector - in the vicinity of Novodanylivka and Novopokrovka.

“In the Bakhmut sector, Ukraine's Armed Forces units conducted assault operations in the areas of Rozdolivka - Krasnopolivka and Berkhivka - Yahidne, and were successful,” the spokesman emphasized.

Andrii Kovalov said that the Russian forces continue to suffer heavy losses on the battlefield.

“In the village of Khmelnytske, Zaporizhzhia region, the occupying forces organized a hospital for the soldiers of the 19th Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army in the premises of a former club. The total number of wounded soldiers is more than 100, and the vast majority of them were brought from the area of Tokmak,” he added.

• On the night of June 15, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian regions with Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and attack drones. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces managed to shoot down a missile, 20 Shaheds, and an Orlan-10 UAV. 

• Over the past 24 hours, Russia has lost a helicopter, 580 soldiers, 3 cruise missiles, as well as 12 tanks.
