Ukrainian troops face heavy fighting in 4 frontline areas, over 40 combat engagements took place during one day — Ukraine’s General Staff

The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 16 strikes on Russian personnel positions and destroyed 3 air defense systems

Russian troops are focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, resulting in intense fighting. More than 40 combat clashes occurred during the day.

Ukrainian Air Force launched 16 strikes on Russian personnel positions 

It was reported that the Air Force conducted 16 strikes on areas where enemy personnel were gathered in the past day.

Furthermore, missile troops and artillery units targeted and destroyed 3 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2 areas where the enemy was concentrated, 26 artillery pieces in firing positions, and an enemy EW station.

Russia launched 56 airstrikes and 77 MLRS attacks against Ukraine on July 3

The enemy conducted 56 airstrikes and launched 77 MLRS attacks on our troops' positions and civilian areas. There have been casualties among civilians, as well as destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure, tall buildings, and private residences.

The situation in different regions of Ukraine

On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes in the Sumy region. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 10 settlements across Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops also shelled over 15 settlements across the Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops thwarted 9 enemy attacks near 5 settlements. Russians also shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops launched 15 unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements. 

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops shelled over 30 settlements across Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.

Russians set up military hospitals in children's camps in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region

The Russian occupiers continue to violate international humanitarian laws by using children's institutions in temporarily occupied areas to provide medical care for their injured soldiers.

“In the settlement of Makarove, Luhansk region, Russian servicemen have established a military hospital within a children's health camp, where more than 100 wounded occupiers are currently located. The camp's territory is filled with Russian military equipment and checkpoints, and there are nearby residential buildings belonging to the local population,” the post reads. 

A similar situation is in Lyman, Luhansk region, where the Russian occupiers have converted the Yalynka children's health camp into a military hospital, treating over 100 wounded invaders. The camp's premises are also being used to store military equipment.
