Ukrainian troops defend from houses' ruins: lieutenant on Russian forces' intensification in Marinka sector

"Marinka is a town that has been holding back the Russian invasion for almost 10 years. Now the enemy has become quite active in this area, constantly storming the positions of the Defense Forces. Ukrainian soldiers are heroically holding back the assaults, performing their tasks flawlessly," emphasized Skliar.

According to the fighter, Marinka is virtually destroyed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are defending from the ruins of houses.

"The positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are mountains of construction debris left over from the once beautiful city of Marinka. The number of artillery attacks and the use of 'kamikaze' drones by the enemy has increased. However, we are holding the defense and all the lines," emphasized Skliar.

• On October 8, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a number of Russian attacks in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, as well as in the Marinka and Bakhmut directions.

• On Monday, October 9, about 5,000 Russian reservists with two cannons on their chevrons were spotted arriving in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk region.
