Ukrainian Prosecutor identifies Russian soldier as man who raped women in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office identified the Russian soldier as the man responsible for committing acts of violence, abuse and rape against women in the Kyiv region.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova shared the details.

Kyiv Prosecutor's Office declared a 20-years-old Russian soldier Bulat Fassahov suspect of violating the laws and customs of war. He served as radio telephonist in the Howitzer Artillery Battalion of the Russian Central Military Command.

"We have collected enough evidence that in March 2022 he and his comrades broke into a private house in the Brovary district village. He ordered his accomplice to close all residents in the basement, but one woman. Intimidating the victim with arms and violence over her family violence, her raped her," says Venediktova.

But this is not his only crime. A few days after, the same Russian military along with three more came to the other house, drove the family out, leaving one woman there. They raped her, threatening to kill.

The prosecution continues to identify the rest involved.
