Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination center of Ukraine’s South Defense Forces, shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The interesting thing about this attack was that the enemy tried to disperse its efforts and test the air defense. That's why the first wave of attacks was launched at the Mykolaiv region," she noted.
Having checked whether drones were able to pass through, Russia used the landscape to cross the Black Sea and the Danube River channel.

On the night of August 16, Russian troops launched Shahed drones on an agricultural enterprise in the Kharkiv region and the Reni seaport in the Odesa region.
