Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on July 30 that there are many signs suggesting that Russia’s war against Ukraine “may at least be suspended” in the near future

He made the remarks during a speech at the Air Force Technology Institute in Warsaw, as reported by TVP.

“There is a good chance, there are many signs indicating that the Russian-Ukrainian war may at least be suspended in the near future. But this does not change our situation in any way,” the Polish prime minister said.

Tusk also emphasized that Poland must remain prepared for defense, regardless of developments on the front line.

“We cannot waste a single hour or day in this race for a modern army,” he added.

In recent years, Poland has been working to strengthen its military capabilities amid growing fears of aggression from Russia.

  • The conversation about ending the war against Ukraine should be with Xi Jinping, not Putin, because as long as China backs Russia, it will keep fighting, and its crisis won’t lead to collapse, according to Ukrainian economist Oleh Pendzyn.
