Ukrainian National Guard shoots down Russian Su-25 attack aircraft near Bakhmut
On the night of March 6, National Guard defenders near Bakhmut, Donetsk region, have shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft at a distance of up to 4 km
Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the information.
The ministry noted that the defenders of the National Guard of Ukraine shot down a Russian Su-25 from the Perun air defense system on the night of March 6. It happened near Bakhmut, Donetsk region, from a distance of up to 4 kilometers.
"The enemy attack aircraft was covering the infantry advancing on the defense line from the air. The man-portable air defense system opened fire and shot down the Russian armored attack aircraft. We saw through a thermal imager that the aircraft was hit and went down, the fate of the pilot is unknown," said the Partizan division commander.

Earlier this morning, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that over the course of March 7, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Buk missile system, a Zoopark radar and hit Russian personnel concentrations.
