Ukrainian missile troops destroy Russian logistics hub — General Staff

Over 80 combat clashes take place on the frontline

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, continue shelling populated areas from the territory of Russia, and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Russian troops carried out an air strike near a settlement in the Chernihiv region. About 20 settlements were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region. Here, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 8 attacks. Russian troops carried out an air strike near a settlement in the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

In Lyman direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled all attacks near Nadiya and Makiivka, Luhansk region. Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements across Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, about 10 settlements suffered from Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 5 attacks near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region. Diliiivka, Donetsk region, came under a Russian air strike. Over 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops, supported by aviation, conducted unsuccessful assaults near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks. Over 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and another settlement in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 20 attacks. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Staromayorske. Ukrainian soldiers repelled all attacks near other settlements in the Donetsk region under Russian attack. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian troops repelled an attack southeast of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 localities settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops conducted air strikes near 4 settlements in the Kherson region. Zelenivka, Kherson region, came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting Russian troops.

• Over the past day, October 23, Russian troops attacked 9 Ukrainian regions. Twenty people were wounded as a result of the attacks; the bodies of victims of previous attacks were discovered.
