Ukrainian military breakthrough in Zaporizhzhia sector will start count down to Russia's defeat – Colonel Kostenko

He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"Zaporizhzhia direction is a strategic direction for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. For the Russians, this direction is a strategic defense. A breakthrough by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia sector could start the countdown to Russia's defeat. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces disrupt the Russians' supply routes, logistics, if we advance into the Berdyansk and Melitopol corridor, if we take control of the roads, it will mean the end for the enemy. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will gradually squeeze the Russians out of the occupied territories of the south," emphasized Kostenko.

The Ukrainian Security Service colonel also added that Russian Guard and military units are located on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

"The enemy has mined the entire left bank of the Dnipro River, waterways and the coastline. On the left bank of the Dnipro there are units of the Russian Guard that provide counterintelligence and police protection. There are also military units of the Russian Federation taking part in the hostilities," noted Kostenko.
