Ukrainian intelligence publishes proof Russia uses Kurds in Shahed attacks
Russia likely involves international mercenaries in organizing kamikaze drone attacks on Ukraine
This was reported by GUR on Telegram.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine published another interception of Russian conversations during the mass kamikaze drone attack on Ukraine on February 10. This is a short dialogue between two Shahed operators specifying the coordinates of the target.
They communicate in a dialect of the Kurdish language using some words in Farsi.
"Russian command involves Kurds as well as Iranian instructors, who teach Russians to use drones in attacks on Ukraine. This interception may also indicate that Kurdish mercenaries experienced in Shahed use are fighting on the side of the Russians," the intelligence stated.
The GUR recalled that during the operation in Syria, Russian troops had already engaged Kurdish and Afghan mercenaries.
