Ukrainian intelligence eliminates senior Russian officer in Stavropol Krai

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence shared the information on the Telegram messaging app.

On September 27, 2025, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence carried out a joint operation with the Caucasus Liberation Movement in Russia’s Stavropol region, killing three Russian National Guard servicemen, including a senior officer.

The raid near the settlement of Tambukan eliminated a lieutenant colonel who commanded the special unit Avangard, along with his aide and driver, the agency said.

“The group was heading to a training ground but never made it,” Defense Intelligence added.
