Georgian volunteer soldier killed on front line in Ukraine

Khvicha Gvirjishvili, a Georgian soldier who took part in the Russian-Ukrainian war, has been killed while fighting for Ukraine

Georgian activist Giga Makarashvili reports.

According to him, Khvicha Gvirjishvili was killed on June 3, in the Kharkiv sector.

"He called me two days ago and said, 'I won't die until you come, you have to arrange a good vacation for me,'" wrote Giga Makarashvili.

The Georgian Service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty approximates that more than 60 Georgian soldiers have been killed fighting for Ukraine since the beginning of the all-out war in 2022.
