Ukrainian General Nayev says mobile firing groups optimized Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Serhiy Nayev, has praised the work of mobile firing groups, noting that they strengthened Ukrainian air defense
The press service of the Joint Forces Command shared the information.
"The emergence of mobile firing groups is a successful optimization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The vehicles provided by volunteers are equipped with appropriate weapons. In particular, a large-caliber machine gun or a portable anti-aircraft missile system. By adding such groups to our air defense system, we increase the effectiveness of defense in general," Nayev said.
He emphasized that the main advantage of firing groups compared to stationary systems is their rapid deployment - up to 10 minutes - and the ability to move on the ground depending on the direction of enemy detection.
Nayev reminded that firing groups do not require a large number of people; the crew can consist of up to 4 people: a driver, a machine gunner, a man-portable air defense system operator, and a group commander.

In January, 19 mobile air defense groups had been reportedly formed to protect critical infrastructure from attacks by Russian drones and missiles.
