Ukrainian forces push forward to recover several settlements – General Staff
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shares information on recent gains in Donetsk. Between August 4 and 16, Ukrainian forces liberated and cleared Russian troops from six settlements

According to the General Staff, the Russian army suffered significant personnel losses. Between August 4 and 16, Russian forces lost:
- Irrecoverable losses — 910 troops
- Wounded (sanitary losses) — 335 troops
- Captured — 37 troops
In addition, Russia lost a considerable amount of equipment and weaponry. Destroyed or damaged were:
- 8 tanks
- 6 armored combat vehicles
- 103 units of auto and motor equipment
- 1 multiple launch rocket system
- 18 artillery pieces
- 91 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types
In the area of Dobropillia in Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces continue stabilization measures.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops are increasingly surrendering. Just within the past day, Ukrainian units operating in Donetsk region captured six Russian servicemen.
This week, forces of the 7th Air Assault Corps of Ukraine, along with adjacent units, cleared the city of Pokrovsk of Russian groups and isolated occupying forces.
At the same time, Ukrainian troops achieved successes in the Sumy direction. Yesterday, due to active operations, advances were made in several locations, particularly near Yablunivka in Sumy region, where Ukrainian units managed to move forward up to 1,000 meters.
