Stratcom shared the news in its Telegram channel.

"During the attack on Lazurne, the Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralized a state-of-the-art Russian radar. This is the 48Y6-K1 Podlet - a solid-state three-coordinate radar station with a FAR (phased antenna array - Ed.) circular survey and detection of air targets at low and extremely low altitudes in complex obstacle situations," the department announced.

The station is used for targeting anti-aircraft missile systems S-300, S-400, etc. It has been used in the Air Defense Forces of the Russian Federation since 2015.  Currently, Podlet is the most modern and least common radar.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to work on the air defense facilities of the ROA. But the most interesting thing is that they destroyed it in the Kherson region, more than 100 km from the positions currently occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces," noted the Stratcom.
