Ukrainian forces make progress in Bakhmut sector – Terra reconnaissance unit commander
Mykola Volokhov, commander of the Terra reconnaissance unit of the Azov tactical group, says that in the future it will be easier for the Ukrainian Defense Forces to plan offensive actions
He said this on Espreso TV.
“The front line in the Bakhmut sector is characterized by the enemy losing the initiative. Of course, in some places the enemy is trying to attack, but these are attempts to divert our attention. These are imitation actions rather than real attempts to attack and achieve any real result. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are now playing number one, the initiative is on our side. We impose the pace on the Russian forces, and we decide whether they will defend themselves, whether they will have the opportunity to maneuver or not,” Volokhov emphasized.
According to the unit's commander, the Russian troops are forced to call in reserves.
“All those who are now standing on the enemy positions are tired. The Russians are having problems with the forces that held the positions. And we already understand what they have and what we can expect from their reserve. In the future, it will be easier for us to plan offensive actions. In the direction of Klishchiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made some progress,” Volokhov emphasized.
