Russian forces attack in 4 directions - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on June 19.

According to the report, the occupying Russian army is attacking in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. 

Thus, 24 combat engagements took place over the last day.

AFU shot down a Russian helicopter, hit 2 control points and manpower concentration areas

On June 18, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 10 strikes on the invading Russian troops' military positions and destroyed 1 enemy anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile and artillery units hit 2 control centers, 4 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2 manpower concentration areas, as well as 2 munitions depots.

Ukrainian defenders also managed to destroy an enemy Ka-52 helicopter, 3 Iranian Shahed attack UAVs, and 7 reconnaissance drones.

Russia launched 59 airstrikes and over 100 MLRS attacks against Ukraine over the day

Over the last day, the Russian troops launched 59 airstrikes and over 100 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Civilians, including children, were killed and wounded, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, and over 20 residential buildings and a school were destroyed and damaged.

On the night of June 19, the Russian Federation launched another attack on Ukraine with missiles and Iranian Shahed strike UAVs. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with mortars and artillery: 1 settlement in the Chernihiv region, 28 more in the Sumy region, as well as 12 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk direction, 9 settlements in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions came under artillery shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, 9 settlements of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under enemy fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, 15 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, 11 settlements in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all of the Russian troops' attacks, however, 7 settlements came under shelling. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, 11 localities in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 36 cities and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

• Earlier, the General Staff reported that in Pokrovske, Zaporizhzhia region, the occupying Russian forces are mining the land plots of local residents who have refused to receive Russian passports and moved to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
