Russia loses 1,090 soldiers, 14 tanks and 38 armored vehicles in one day - General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in its daily report on December 15.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022 to December 15, 2023 are estimated to be:

• personnel - about 343,890 (+1,090),
• tanks - 5,706 (+14),
• armored combat vehicles - 10,654 (+38),
• artillery systems - 8,099 (+11),
• MLRS - 920 (+0),
• air defense systems - 605 (+0),
• airplanes - 324 (+0),
• helicopters - 324 (+0),
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 6,226 (+20),
• cruise missiles - 1,608 (+2),
• ships/boats - 22 (+0),
• submarines - 1 (+0),
• motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 10,699 (+24),
• special equipment - 1,189 (+4).

General Staff report: Ukrainian Defense Forces repel Russian attacks in 6 directions, 110 clashes take place at the front

According to the General Staff, in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 Russian attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine's soldiers repulsed an attack east of Terny, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 Russian attacks near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian defense forces continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian troops and are consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders hold back the Russian army, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukraine's soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the aggressors. The defense forces successfully repelled 23 Russian attacks east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 22 attacks south of Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian troops near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian army successfully repelled 17 attacks there.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks north of Pryiutne, west and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, in the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, exhausting Russian troops along the entire front line.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continue to conduct counter-battery combat, and inflict fire on Russia's rear.

Russian army launches 4 missile and 50 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the past day, 110 combat clashes took place on the frontline. In total, Russia launched 4 missile and 50 air strikes, and 56 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

At night, Russian troops attacked Ukraine, using an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and 14 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukrainian air defense destroyed all attack drones.

Air strikes hit 1 settlement in the Kharkiv region; 8 in the Donetsk region; 1 in the Zaporizhzhia region; 3 in the Kherson region and Serebryanka forestry in the Luhansk region.

Over 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were subjected to Russian artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Kinzhal missile and hit 2 Russian personnel concentrations

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 2 Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentrations. Also, Ukrainian forces destroyed one Kh-47M Kinzhal aerial ballistic missile.

Ukrainian missile troops destroyed 2 Russian concentrations of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a command center and 2 ammunition depots.
