AFU repel 36 Russian attacks in Avdiivka sector, 13 in Kupyansk sector

Such information was provided in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 14.

With the support of aviation, Russian troops tried to break through the defense in the Kharkiv region. The situation in the main frontline areas 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region. About 20 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks near Synkivka in Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian attack east of Terny, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements suffered from Russian artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukraine's troops repelled 7 Russia's attacks near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under Russian  artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and another 17 attacks south of Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske, Donetsk region. Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in these areas. Over 15 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian troops near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks. Russian troops launched an air strike near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Five settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops did not conduct assault operations. About 10 settlements came under Russain artillery and mortar fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks near Pryiutne and Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region. Russians shelled more than 20 settlements with artillery and mortars.

In the Kherson direction, Kherson and Antonivka in the Kherson region and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region came under enemy artillery fire. The enemy launched an air strike near the village of Krynky in Kherson region.

Ukrainian aviation and missile troops hit 2 areas of deployment of the Russian forces

Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Kherson region and continue to inflict fire on the enemy.

During the day, Ukrainian aviation struck two areas where Russian forces concentrated personnel, weapons and military equipment. Missile units also hit two areas of concentration of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.
