Ukrainian forces destroy 100-150 Russian soldiers daily in Avdiivka sector – local official

He said this on Espreso TV. 

"The situation in our area has not changed fundamentally. It was hot and remains so. Dozens of attacks are carried out by Russian forces in the city every day. Nobody counts single attacks anymore, because there are hundreds of them. Over 200 attacks were made on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces around the city over the last day," said Barabash.

The head of the city military administration added that the Russian troops are deploying new units to the Avdiivka area.

"The Russians do not like the fact that they have lost certain positions in the Avdiivka sector. They don't want to accept this, so they are constantly storming and trying to regain their lost positions. However, they have no success in our area. They are reinforced with new units. A few days ago, they moved marine units to the Avdiivka sector, but they are not succeeding either. All this is thanks to our Defense Forces. The Russians are losing 100 to 150 soldiers in our sector every day," he added.

• On July 24, the General Staff reported that the Russian army kept attacking in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, and heavy fighting continued. About 35 combat engagements took place over the past day. During the day, the Russian troops lost 660 soldiers, 11 tanks and an air defense system in Ukraine.
