Ukrainian forces counter Russian attacks in Klishchiivka near Bakhmut – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

Ukrainian aviation launched 11 strikes on enemy concentration areas over the last day

Another two strikes were against enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

In turn, missile and artillery units struck 11 artillery pieces at firing positions and 4 enemy control points over the course of the day.

During the day, Russian forces launched 5 missile strikes, 68 airstrikes against Ukraine

In addition, the Russian troops launched 42 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

There were 22 combat engagements over the day

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 15 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupyansk direction, 10 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

• In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, over 15 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, more than 6 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

• In the Maryinka direction, over 5 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 25 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol sector, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.

• On Sunday, September 3, Russian terrorists attacked the village of Sonyachne in the Kherson region. An 11-year-old child was injured as a result of the Russian shelling.
