Ukrainian forces advance in south, destroy Russian air defense and artillery

Frontline situation and shelling of Ukrainian territory

During the day, Russia launched 43 airstrikes and about 17 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The probability of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

Invading Russian forces are attacking in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, and heavy fighting continues. About 20 combat engagements took place.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, Russia continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: over 15 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other frontline regions

• In the Kupiansk direction, 6 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

• In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, over 15 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Marinka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire. 

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, about 5 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 20 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, consolidating their positions, firing artillery on the enemy targets, and conducting counter-battery operations.

Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on Russian troops over the last day

Aviation launched 13 strikes on the invading Russian troops' military positions and 1 on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system.

Missile and artillery units destroyed 9 artillery pieces at firing positions.

• On the night of July 13-14, Ukrainian regions were again attacked by Russian drones. In Odesa and Kryvyi Rih, air defense was working, but there were several hits and a 56-year-old victim.

• Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 236,590 soldiers in Ukraine. On July 13, the Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks near Berkhivka and Pervomaiske.
