Ukrainian flag is raised over de-occupied Lyman
On October 4, Ukraine's Armed Forces officially raised the Ukrainian flag over liberated Lyman.
This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.
"The commander with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, transferred from the military to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration the authority to establish further life in the liberated settlements," Kyrylenko wrote.
Today, October 4, the Ukrainian flag was raised over de-occupied Lyman.
"I thank our Armed Forces for clearing our Ukrainian lands from the invading Russian forces. The occupiers leave behind ruins. But the most important thing is our land. We will rebuild everything anew," the head of the region emphasized.
Kyrylenko reports that logistics, the delivery of humanitarian aid and the issuance of pensions are beginning to be adjusted in the region. However, it is still too early for those who evacuated to return to the liberated territories.
"Large-scale demining work is underway, and a difficult winter is ahead, which will be extremely difficult to survive. The war is still very close. We will return everything, but everything will take its own time," Kyrylenko added.
