Ukrainian fighters destroy group of “wagnerites” near Bakhmut
Servicemen with the 71st Jager Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Troops have attacked Russian positions near Bakhmut with Krab howitzer.
The brigade announced Russia’s losses on its Facebook page, according to Espreso.
"A group of Wagner mercenaries cannot pull themselves together anymore. Literally. The mercenaries competently dug in and camouflaged themselves in their positions near Bakhmut. However, the 71st Jager Infantry Brigade had been closely monitoring their works," said the brigade.
According to the fighters, as soon as Wagner mercenaries had planned to rotate, the Ukrainian military unexpectedly attacked them.
"We fired a Krab howitzer, and conducted reconnaissance with UAVs. We cannot say exactly how many Russian soldiers will never come home. One of the group has certainly survived. Our gunners have, probably, left him alive so he can tell legends about their accuracy to the rest of the Russian forces," the brigade noted.
For reference. The 71st Jager Infantry Brigade is a unit formed as a result of the full-scale invasion. It was formed immediately following the beginning of Russia’s large-scale intervention in Ukraine. Since then, combat units of the brigade have been fighting Russian troops in the hottest areas of the front line.
