Ukrainian drones target Sevastopol bay at night - Military expert Zgurets
Serhiy Zgurets, CEO of Defense Express military expert group noted that Ukrainian private developers have the potential of using drones to destroy Russian targets in the depths of enemy defense
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"On the night of April 24, Ukrainian drones attacked a bay in Sevastopol. There is information that the enemy destroyed some naval drones, there is information about an explosion in the bay. We will see the details later, but these two trends - aviation and maritime - indicate that Ukraine is trying to maximise the potential of technological developments to increase pressure on Russian troops," emphasised Zgurets.
According to the expert, the potential of Ukrainian private developers allows the use of drones to destroy Russian targets deep in the enemy's defence.
"We understand that the potential is quite large. It is necessary that it form a systemic basis for the creation of more powerful and longer-range weapons, and this is now being gradually realised. This applies not only to air drones, but also to naval drones," Zgurets said.
Earlier, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, near the city of Kerch, Russian troops installed a radar station to detect air, sea and land objects.
Also, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russia had transferred some combat units from Skadovsk to Crimea.
On the night of April 24, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. The so-called authorities said that the Russian navy was "repelling surface drones".
